How does a race work?

Two to five people each play their own five-minute quarter on the same floor, from the same start, with no upgrades. You see how everyone else is doing as you play. The last person standing wins, and if more than one survives the quarter, whoever beat the most enemies wins.

Someone had to come first. Someone had to be managed out.

What does Forward Invite do?

It sends a crowd of enemies at whichever rival is doing best, and the later it gets the bigger the crowd. You start with one, earn another every 30 seconds, and get one for each boss you beat. Press F, the RB button on a controller, or the button under your rivals.

Thanks for your flexibility!

How do I start a race?

Press Play Together, then Race. It joins an open race if there is one, or opens a new one with a link to send. A race needs at least one rival, so it waits until someone is there before it can start. Opening a race takes a free sign-in; joining with a link does not.

Calibration session. Attendance mandatory.

  1. Press Race. It is in Play Together.
  2. Share the link or wait for someone from the list.
  3. Press Start Race once a rival is in.
