What is Boil the Ocean?

Boil the Ocean is a final boss whose bar is a thermometer that falls as its cooks die and 4 phases. It appears on Boil the Ocean. It arrives at 16:00, and beating it wins the floor. Beating it pays three boxes and 25 PTO, and it counts for gear when the run ends.

"This quarter, we're going to boil the ocean!!"

A cooking pot the size of a meeting room with nothing to hit but the banded cooks. The boss bar is a thermometer, and every cook down cools it; scalding water spreads a tile a second, and each cook down pulls it back; when the last cook dies the water drains and the fight is over. The pot stays where it was, on the roadmap.

What does it do in each phase?

Boil the Ocean changes phase as its health falls, using each phase's moves in turn. The telegraphed attacks mark the ground first, so watch the markings and step out rather than trying to outrun everything. Moves come faster in later phases. It also books itself nearer if you run too far away.

Where and when does it appear?

Boil the Ocean is booked 1 time across the building. The table gives each floor and the time on the clock. Floors open one at a time, for one department, by winning the one before. Boss health is multiplied by the time it arrives, so a late booking is a tougher fight than the same boss early on.
