The Steering Committee

Updated · Version 0.1.0 · Update notes

What is The Steering Committee?

The Steering Committee is a final boss with a base health of 4200 and 4 phases. It appears on The Ivory Tower. It arrives at 16:00, and beating it wins the floor. Its health grows with the clock, the floor and your difficulty. Beating it pays three boxes and 25 PTO, and it counts for gear when the run ends.

"The decision is to form a working group."

A conference table with seven people seated at it, walking as one. It attacks only while four chairs are seated; deferring below quorum heals it, a little, every twenty seconds; killed chairs send one delegate each, who has no authority; in the last phase it becomes a working group, which needs only two seats and decides less.

What does it do in each phase?

The Steering Committee changes phase as its health falls, using each phase's moves in turn. The telegraphed attacks mark the ground first, so watch the markings and step out rather than trying to outrun everything. Moves come faster in later phases. It also books itself nearer if you run too far away.

Where and when does it appear?

The Steering Committee is booked 1 time across the building. The table gives each floor and the time on the clock. Floors open one at a time, for one department, by winning the one before. Boss health is multiplied by the time it arrives, so a late booking is a tougher fight than the same boss early on.
