The Precedent

Updated · Version 0.1.0 · Update notes

What is The Precedent?

The Precedent is a final boss with a base health of 3400 and 4 phases. It appears on The Fiefdom. It arrives at 16:00, and beating it wins the floor. Its health grows with the clock, the floor and your difficulty. Beating it pays three boxes and 25 PTO, and it counts for gear when the run ends.

"We've always done it this way."

A skeleton on a throne that can only be damaged while the Anonymous Survey (the one thing allowed to tell the truth, in a green circle behind it) is alive on the floor. Your skills won't aim at the Survey, but a stray blast can close it; then the precedent stands until a new survey opens eight seconds later.

What does it do in each phase?

The Precedent changes phase as its health falls, using each phase's moves in turn. The telegraphed attacks mark the ground first, so watch the markings and step out rather than trying to outrun everything. Moves come faster in later phases. It also books itself nearer if you run too far away.

Where and when does it appear?

The Precedent is booked 1 time across the building. The table gives each floor and the time on the clock. Floors open one at a time, for one department, by winning the one before. Boss health is multiplied by the time it arrives, so a late booking is a tougher fight than the same boss early on.
