What is the Marketing role?

Marketing is one of 9 departments, with 95 health and Going Viral as its starting skill. Its executive action is Product Launch, on a 100-second cooldown. It has eight skills of its own, of which 1 can evolve. Its career tracks are Brand, Growth, PR.

Perception is reality.

Product Launch: Big news!! Everything on the floor is pulled to the launch, which is wherever you are standing.

Which skills does it have?

These are the eight skills only Marketing can draw. They turn up on level-up cards more than twice as often as shared ones. Numbers are at rank 5 with no bonuses, and a skill with a partner listed can evolve once you own that passive at rank 5.

SkillShapeRank 5 dmg/sEvolves withWhat it does
Going ViralBolt34.7Kudos → Thought LeadershipMarks one enemy. For four seconds everything on screen walks toward it instead of you.
Press ReleaseBolt71.2NoneThree shots that pass through everything. Anything hit turns around and walks away for two seconds.
RebrandNova31.3NoneNew logo. Everything near you loses track of who you are for three seconds.
The VaporwareSummon81.4NoneA product that reads as real on the roster. The horde attacks it until it is touched. It does not exist.
Branded PensLob37.4NoneA box of free pens lands. Everything near it comes to take one.
The FunnelCone31.8NoneWide at the front, narrow at the back. The further in they are, the harder it hits.
The NewsletterRain409.8NoneFalls on everyone who ever gave an email address. Weekly. Unsubscribing does nothing.
Brand GuidelinesOrbit756.3NoneThree colour swatches orbit you. Anything that touches the wrong blue takes damage.

What are its career tracks?

Marketing has three tracks: Brand, Growth, PR. Each holds ten talents, including three milestones that open at 10, 20 and 30 points in that track. You will earn up to 51 points in this department, so you can finish one track and get into a second.
