9 TO DIEPlay

Operations

Updated · Version 0.1.0 · Update notes

What is the Operations role?

Operations is one of 9 departments, with 120 health and Just-In-Time as its starting skill. Its executive action is Overnight Shipping, on a 90-second cooldown. It has eight skills of its own, of which 1 can evolve. Its career tracks are Supply, Fleet, Continuity.

On time. In full.

Screenshot to come: Operations in play.

Overnight Shipping: Everything queued arrives now: every cooldown resets and every delayed skill lands at once.

Which skills does it have?

These are the eight skills only Operations can draw. They turn up on level-up cards more than twice as often as shared ones. Numbers are at rank 5 with no bonuses, and a skill with a partner listed can evolve once you own that passive at rank 5.

SkillShapeRank 5 dmg/sEvolves withWhat it does
Just-In-TimeLob154.1Coffee → Same-DayLands right where the horde is, on time, every time. It unsettles everyone.
Supply DropDrop from above26.3NoneA crate lands on the horde and leaves XP behind for you.
RerouteCone41NoneEverything in front of you is moved sideways, politely but all at once.
Forklift CertifiedLane vehicle11.9NoneA forklift crosses the floor. You are certified. Nobody checked.
Gantt ChartLine22.6NoneA long bar across the floor, one task per segment. Every task is red.
Shrink WrapRing20.5NoneEverything inside the ring is wrapped tight for a moment. Nothing moves, and nothing ships.
BackorderMine40.8NoneA charge that arrives late and large: ten seconds after it is placed, triple damage.
Six SigmaBolt20.6NoneA shot with a very high crit rate. 3.4 defects per million.

What are its career tracks?

Operations has three tracks: Supply, Fleet, Continuity. Each holds ten talents, including three milestones that open at 10, 20 and 30 points in that track. You will earn up to 51 points in this department, so you can finish one track and get into a second.

What gear does it have?

Operations has 54 gear pieces: one for each of 9 slots at each of 6 rarities. Everything above Standard Issue belongs to a set, so wearing pieces of the same rarity builds a set bonus. Its five sets are Loading Dock, Return-to-Office Loyalist, Remote Warrior, Supply Chain, Shadow IT.
