Level-up Cards
How do level-up cards work?
XP fills the bar at the bottom, and each level stops time and offers three cards. A card is a new skill, a rank on a skill you own, a passive, or an evolution. Press 1, 2 or 3 to take one. Every level also adds 1.2 percent damage and 1 percent health for that run.
Same pay, new title.
How many skills and passives can I hold?
You hold six skills and six passives. New skills stop appearing once the skill slots are full, and new passives stop once those are full, so later cards are mostly ranks. When nothing is left to offer, a cash card pays 10 PTO and 15 health instead of wasting the level.
The Admin Rights perk adds a seventh skill slot. Approved. Expires in 24 hours. Renewed daily, forever.
Your own department's skills turn up more than twice as often as shared ones. Skills and passives you already own are favoured over new ones.
What does card rarity do?
Rarity sets how strong a pick is. A new skill keeps its full multiplier: common 1, rare 1.3, epic 1.65. A rank-up adds a quarter of the extra. Passives ignore rarity. Most cards are common, about one in five is rare, and only evolutions are legendary. Luck nudges the odds upward.
Rarity has been calibrated. Please do not ask against what.
| Rarity | New skill strength | Odds, no luck |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 1 | 78% |
| Rare | 1.3 | 19% |
| Epic | 1.65 | 3% |
| Legendary | Evolutions only | Always, on evolutions |
How do rerolls and banking work?
Press R to replace all three cards, using one of your three rerolls. Press T to bank the level instead of choosing, which puts the game straight back into play, and press Tab later to spend a banked level. The Grade 7 perk also lets you lock one card through a reroll.

Which skills evolve, and with what?
28 skills evolve. A skill qualifies at rank 5 when you also own its paired passive, and the evolution then arrives as a legendary card. It restarts at rank 1 in a stronger form, with five more ranks to climb. The table lists every pairing, and each one is exact.
Nobody can explain what it does now.
